Albert Cyprys - Bike Commuting

Albert Cyprys knows the value of working hard, particularly as a longtime professional of New York City. He is known as a hard-working team player with a buoyant and infectious personality.

He maintains an active lifestyle that emphasizes healthy eating and plenty of exercise. One of the activities he most enjoys is riding his bicycle, and like millions of other Americans he is discovering that riding his bike a lot not only has obvious health benefits, it has some financial benefits, too.

It is vastly cheaper to rely on bicycle transportation than it is to rely on driving a car. According to one study it costs nearly nine thousand dollars a year, on average, to own and use an automobile. That’s compared to about three hundred dollars to keep a bike in good condition and on the road. That’s about thirty times less than the cost of maintaining a car. The Sierra Club says that if American drivers made just one four-mile round trip a week by bike instead of by car, there would be a cumulative savings of nearly two billion dollars of gasoline.

Bike commuting is also very healthy: you’re getting exercise, even as you go from point A to point B. Bike commuters lose an average of about thirteen pounds during their first year of cycling. It’s an excellent cardiovascular workout. Best of all, by getting to work on your bike instead of a car, you bypass morning traffic jams.

Albert Cyprys enjoys the benefits of bike riding in and around his home in New York.

Albert Cyprys - All About Organic Foods

Albert Cyprys is a longtime and passionate enthusiast of good eating and exercise practices, and is currently working in New York City.

He is paying more and more attention to the foods that he eats, and is learning more about natural and organic foods. Studies show that non-organic foods have only minimal amounts of chemical residues from pesticides, and that they are not enough to pose a danger to your health. But advocates of organic foods believe that it is safer to consume organically grown foods, and that this is the only way to completely avoid foods that have residues of fertilizers and other potentially dangerous chemicals.
Food products are legally classified as organic when they come from farms and processing plants that have been certified as organic by the U.S. Department of Agriculture. Certification as organic ensures that these facilities are up to Federal organic standards. The inspectors check to make sure that only organic methods are in use, and that the places haven’t been contaminated by non-organic compounds, synthetic fertilizers, or pesticides.

It’s easy to check whether foods are organic by reading the labels on them in the grocery store. But there are three types of labeling that are allowed, and they don’t mean the same thing. Foods may be labeled as 100% organic if they contain all organically grown ingredients, not including water and salt. The label “Organic,” without that “100%,” means that the food has at least ninety-five percent organic ingredients, again not counting water and salt. They also can’t include sulfites as a preservative. The third label is “Made with Organic Ingredients.” Foods with this label must contain at least seventy percent organic ingredients, except for added water and salt.

Albert Cyprys is careful to read the labels of the foods he buys in stores in and around New York.

Albert Cyprys - Watch What You Eat

Albert Cyprys understands the importance of maintaining both a healthy body and a sound mind. He leads an active life that focuses on personal fitness and proper eating habits.

Unfortunately, studies show that not very many adults meet the criteria for a healthy lifestyle. Only about three percent of American adults met all the four basic standards of healthy living, according to one study. Those standards include maintaining a healthy diet, getting plenty of exercise, maintaining the proper weight, and not smoking. The good news is that it only a few lifestyle changes can make a big difference. All of these lifestyle changes are most effective when done together, but even one or two of them can make a difference.

One of the most basic things to consider is how you eat; experts say that a healthy diet is essential to longevity. The focus should be on eating a diet of whole, nutritious foods instead of junk food and processed foods. Junk food and processed foods are loaded with sugar and unhealthy, “empty” calories that can raise insulin levels. Raised insulin levels can not only accelerate the aging process but increase the risks of chronic disease and obesity. The best diet focuses on whole, unprocessed foods that is heavy on organic vegetables, grass-fed meats, raw dairy, and nuts.

Albert Cyprys has an increasing interest in whole, organic foods and a healthy diet. He also gets plenty of exercise.

Distinguished Beta Alpha Psi Member Albert Cyprys Works in Global Marketing

Albert Cyprys is a member of Beta Alpha Psi, an honorary accountant’s organization with a distinguished history.   First president Russell Morrison was the only one of the original founding members who was still a practicing CPA by 1939, and was also a member of the American Accounting Association.  Morrison helped further the cause of accounting and CPA’s through his work on the Committee to Prepare a Statement of Basic Accounting Theory.  Beta Alpha Psi created a national constitution in 1921, but did not admit women until 1950 when Jeannie Skelton of Miami University was admitted as the first female member.

Today, Beta Alpha Psi has chapters at the University of Sydney and the University of Technology Sydney, Australia.  Massey University, the University of Auckland, the University of Waikato and Victoria University, all of New Zealand, also support chapters of Beta Alpha Psi.  The organization’s Professional Partners is a group of prominent professional accountants in public accounting, industry and government who provide advice and assistance to the operations and special projects of Beta Alpha Psi.  On a local level, students guide each chapter’s work, but local chapters such as that of Albert Cyprys may act as accounting honor societies, or as financial information fraternities.

Today, Albert Cyprys continues his association with Beta Alpha Psi, as he works as an accountant, evaluating and pricing products appropriately in a variety of worldwide markets, calculating delivery costs and information into a total estimate of evaluations of cost versus profit, which in turn is affected by the determination of the appropriate profit margin for the product and for the market.

Albert Cyprys Works With Domestic and International Accounting

When Albert Cyprys’ global marketing concern restricts its marketing of a product or company to the political boundaries of a country, it is engaging in domestic marketing.  In this case, the firm is considering only domestic competition, even if the competition includes companies from foreign markets.  The products and services of the company or brand are developed for customers of the politically defined market, and there is no concern in this instance with how the product of service could be used in markets outside of the defined boundaries of interest.  Cyprys’ global marketing firm is concerned with the potential competitor who dominates outside of the domestic market, who suddenly appears within that market with retail presence.  The results for the domestic marketer can be devastating.

Albert Cyprys’ global marketing firm also concerns itself with international marketing, the intricacies of exporting, possibly franchising, engagement in joint ventures or the full and direct introduction of a product or service into a foreign economy.  Opening up new markets means engaging accountants who are versatile and well-versed in different economies and able to crunch numbers in a variety of different languages and currencies.  Cyprys deals not only in working with colleagues within the four walls of his office, but interacts with associates around the United States .Technology is essential to Cyprys’ work, where he must reach from his desk to the other side of the countryon a daily basis.

Global marketing firms retain the capabilities, reach, knowledge and expertise, as well as the staff and insight, to deliver value to clients on a local and national scale.

He balances his personal and professional lives with an element of community service to give back to the city that he loves so much.
